Admittance to all FOCUS Internships requires acceptance through an application process. Email your Area Staff or the Program Office for an application. Students must be accepted to the program, through application, before they can register online or by mail.

All Internship & Service Programs are full for Summer 2008.

City Service

Taking place in New York City, this is an engaging community service program which may fulfill a student's school service requirements. It includes hands-on work with the needy as well as time for reflection and discussion of the meaning an purpose of service.

Dates: June 8-14, 2008
Cost: $725
Location: New York City
Grades: Students who have completed 10th, 11th, or 12th grade

Internship One

A two-week program which combines fun activities and community-building experiences with an emphasis on learning and leadership skills, especially as they apply to school and service.

Date: July 10-24, 2008
Cost: $1200
Location: Martha's Vineyard, on the FOCUS Study Center
Grades: Students who have completed 10th, 11th or 12th grade

Internship Two

Designed as a follow-up to Internship 1, this new program allows students to help the Study Center community behind the scenes. Limited in size, this program gives interested students the chance to serve during Middle School Adventure A, enjoy time on Martha's Vineyard, and have discussions about service, faith, and community.

Date: June 20-27, 2008
Cost: $500
Location: Martha's Vineyard, on the FOCUS Study Center
Grades: Students who have completed 11th or 12th grade
