Depending upon which FOCUS Area you are arriving from, there are a number of different ways to get to the Vineyard. Please feel free to speak with your local staff about the best mode of transportation.

You can also visit the Martha's Vineyard Chamber of Commerce for additional transportation information and suggestions.

 

Please note that FOCUS is responsible for picking up students and dropping them off at the Martha's Vineyard Airport, Vineyard Haven and Oak Bluffs Ferry Docks. Please be sure to complete the FOCUS Travel Information form once your plans are finalized.

 

Flights

You can fly into Martha's Vineyard Airport  via JetBlue, Cape Air, and US Airways Express. If you purchase a ticket from JetBlue, and you will change planes at Logan International Airport in Boston.

 

Ferry

The following are the ferry companies that transport to Martha's Vineyard. Please check their individual websites for specific times, schedules, and prices for Summer 2010

Steamship Authority

Departs from Wood's Hole, MA and Hyannis, MA and arrives at Vineyard Haven or Oak Bluffs ferry docks depending on what time of day you depart

 

Hy-Line Cruises

Hy-Line Cruises departs from Hyannis, MA and arrives at Oak Bluffs ferry dock

 

Island Queen

Island Queen departs from Falmouth, MA and arrives at Oak Bluffs ferry dock

 

New England Fast Ferry

New England Fast Ferry departs from New Bedford, MA and arrives at either Vineyard Haven or Oak Bluffs ferry docks depending on the time of day you depart

 

Martha's Vineyard Fast Ferry

The Vineyard Fast Ferry departs from Quonset Point, RI and arrives at Oak Bluffs ferry dock

 

Bus to Ferry

 

Bus service to Wood's Hole, MA ferry dock is available from New York (stopping in

 

Providence, RI) and Boston.

 

 

Another option is to fly into Logan International Airport in Boston, and take a bus to the ferry dock.
